APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Inpatient Adult Psychology Application Procedure

Center for Behavioral Medicine offers three full-time clinical psychology postdoctoral fellowship positions in treating the seriously and persistently mentally ill adult, one of which involves providing treatment to mentally ill individuals who have been committed by the courts to the department of mental health for competency restoration. The annual stipend is $34,424. Benefits include 15 days paid annual leave, sick leave, 12 paid holidays, and medical and life insurance. The 12 month training program begins September 1. Trainees are encouraged to attend facility orientation sessions in August.

Outpatient Forensic Psychology Application Procedure

Center for Behavioral Medicine offers two (2) full-time Forensic Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship position. The annual stipend is $34,424. Benefits include fifteen (15) days paid annual leave, fifteen (15) days sick leave, twelve (12) paid holidays, and medical and life insurance plans. The twelve (12) month Program begins September 1. Residents are expected to attend an August orientation session.

Applicants should have doctorates in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from APA-accredited programs.

Applications should include: statement of training interests and goals; curriculum vita; two sample psychological reports; three letters of reference from individuals familiar with your clinical experiences; a letter from the director of your training program verifying completion of doctoral degree; and doctoral program transcripts. Selected applicants will be invited to come for an onsite interview. Interviewees will meet individually with the Forensic Postdoctoral Fellowship Program Director, Psychology Department staff supervisors, and the current Psychology Residents. The on site visit will also consist of a general orientation and tour of the facility. Phone interviews may be arranged but applicants who participate in an on site visit will take precedence in consideration.
